Soft spoken and reasonably intelligent man who's looking for a companion, friend or lover who has similar views. For years I wasn't able to articulate what I felt about religion other that it made me feel uncomfortable. I was brought up in an AME church--I was even a youth coordinator and treasurer of the last church I went to. However, I could never quite swallow the dogma and ended up being a "backslider" as my pastor once said.
I went by the agnostic label for the past few years until hearing on YouTube that Steven Colbert calls agnostics atheists without balls.
Being African-American I didn't want to deal with another slur attached to me however being black and an atheist does not mean you're the stereotype that's often inferred.
I am thoughtful, considerate and I don't need a holiday to give gifts or remember people.
I like to cook, I like to write, I'm relatively active. Among my favorite comedians is the late Richard Jeni. One of his lines that I often repeat about relationships is that one is either separate but lonely or together but crazy.
I just wanna find someone that doesn't make me crazy and vice versa.
