Treat people as if they were what they ought to be, and you can help them become what they are capable of being. ~ Goethe

My "Cliff Notes":

1) Strengths: being smart, funny, responsible, and finding something memorable to do on the weekend.

2) I have room for improvement on cooking, my fashion sense, and being patient (sometimes). 3) I'm a planner and organizer and not particularly spontaneous.

I prefer the arts to sports. I'm mostly oblivious to what is on TV. Friends would consider me moderately extroverted. I'm usually attracted to overly nice (if there is such a thing) honor roll types who are slightly introverted. However, I get along with all types of people. Optimism and a sunny disposition is a very big plus. Also, fitness and healthy living are important to me and I'd like that in a partner.

5) Aspirations in the next 5 years: a) Receive MBA b) Climb Mount Kilimanjaro c) basic proficiency at cooking 6) What I hope for the long-term: Happiness, love, health, travel, adventure, and an upper middle class lifestyle

7) Things that have made me emotional (I won't admit to crying): 1) beautiful renditions of "I dreamed a dream" and "On My Own" from Les Miserables 2) That scene in Forrest Gump where Forrest is talking to Jenny's Grave 3) The last scene in Amelie

8) Experiences and personal growth are important to me. I'm content with my old car and basic apartment but I greatly cherish vacations, adventure, concerts, off-beat events, and friendships

9) Full disclosure: I'm a military officer. If being a member of the armed forces is a deal-breaker for you I understand completely. No hard feelings. For enlisted Soldiers; I cannot date you know matter how charming you. If you don't want to date someone in the military or your an enlisted women reading this I first want to say a) thanks for reading so far down my profile and b) sorry to waste your time :-)
