Friends would describe me as having a good sense of humor; honest, loyal, intelligent, passionate, non-judgmental (but you can't always believe what you hear). Though I retired a few years ago (after 27 years as a Fed), I remain very active (never let age define me). I am not a religious person (a good person nevertheless) but I respect everyone's right to believe as they please (drawing a line at ceremonial sacrificing of anything live). I am also passionate about certain social issues (leaning politically to the liberal/ progressive side; no MAGA enthusiasts, please). I like all types of travel (long distant overnights and local day trips); attending concerts (all types, but prefer rock) and sporting events; and wine-tasting....okay, drinking too. I enjoy sports, as a spectator as well as a participant, and have suffered injuries doing both--don't ask! Spend an inordinate amount of time (and cash) making improvements to the house I bought a couple years back. Most importantly, my semi-well- adjusted kids (well, none of them have been incarcerated....yet) mean the world to me, and I try to spend quality time with them when possible. No apologies here. However, I can 'chew gum and walk at the same time'. So I am very good at separating and balancing my family and my social lives, neglecting neither. There are many noble and necessary jobs (performed by quality, dedicated people) which do not pay all that well. Kudos to them! A person's worth should not be measured in income. Conversely, there are many despicable people...well, you probably know where I'm going with this from prior political commentary.
